The Enigmatic Descent of Persephone: A Tale of Seasons

Poetry Image

In the heart of the underworld she resides,
Persephone, the queen of shadows and light,
Her journey marked by sorrow and divides,
Yet blooms of spring follow her plight.

The earth mourns as she descends below,
To Hades’ realm, where shadows grow,
Her mother’s tears transform to snow,
A cycle of grief, a tale of woe.

Yet in her heart, a light remains,
A promise of return, breaking chains,
With each ascent, life regains,
The world reborn from winter’s pains.

Persephone, a goddess torn between,
The realms of dark and light unseen,
Her story whispered in the wind serene,
A dance of seasons, eternally keen.
