Whispers of the Midnight Mind: A Dialogue with Anxiety

Poetry Image

In the still of night, shadows begin to creep,
Whispers of the past, they never seem to sleep.
Echoes in my mind, a relentless tide,
Anxiety’s grasp, where can I hide?

Thoughts like a tempest, swirling in the dark,
Searching for solace, a flicker, a spark.
Heartbeats like thunder, racing with fear,
In this silent battle, I shed a tear.

Eyes wide open, yet blind to the calm,
Seeking refuge in a soothing balm.
A dance with shadows, a waltz with dread,
In the quiet night, where dreams once fled.

But dawn will break, with promise anew,
Dispelling shadows, a sky of blue.
With each new day, courage will grow,
In the light of morning, peace will show.
