Whispers of a Suffocating Earth: An Ode to Pollution’s Grasp

Poetry Image

In the stillness of the night, where stars should gleam,
A haze of gray obscures the celestial dream.
The rivers murmur tales of bygone days,
Now choked by filth in a toxic maze.

Mountains once proud now wear a shroud,
Of smog and soot, a darkened cloud.
Forests whisper with leaves turned gray,
Their vibrant hues stolen away.

The ocean’s dance has lost its grace,
Plastic waves now take its place.
Creatures cry in silent despair,
Their homes dissolved in poisoned air.

Oh, how we long for the days of yore,
When the earth’s beauty we could adore.
Yet hope remains in hearts that strive,
To cleanse and heal, to keep life alive.
