Releasing What Was Never Mine

Poetry Image

In the quiet moments of dawn,
When the world is still and kind,
I find the strength to let you go,
To leave the past behind.

The memories we shared are sweet,
They linger in my mind,
But holding on to what can’t be,
Is a love that’s blind.

I’ll cherish what we had, my dear,
And wish you all the best,
For letting go is not the end,
But a peaceful rest.

So here’s to you, to brighter days,
To futures undefined,
With open hearts we’ll find our way,
And leave the past behind.
