In shadows deep where justice fades,
The cries of many, silent, wade,
Beneath the weight of countless wrongs,
Their voices stifled, weak, yet strong.
In corridors of power bright,
The few decide our common plight,
With scales unbalanced, hearts of stone,
They leave the masses to bemoan.
The chains of bias, tightly bound,
Around the dreams that once were found,
In lands of promise, hope now lost,
The price of freedom, too high a cost.
Yet in the dark, a flame persists,
A spark of hope that still exists,
For justice yearns to find its way,
And bring a brighter, fairer day.
