The Echo of a Shattered Heart

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, I hear the whispers,
Of a love once bright, now dimmed in fears.
The promises we made, now scattered ashes,
Dreams we wove, now broken flashes.

Beneath the moon’s pale, ghostly glow,
Lies the pain only a heart can know.
Tears like rivers carve their path,
Through memories of a love that couldn’t last.

Each heartbeat a reminder of what was lost,
The price we paid, the heavy cost.
Shadows of your smile haunt my days,
In this labyrinth of love’s cruel maze.

But in this sorrow, I’ll find my strength,
To mend my heart, to go the length.
For even in the darkest night,
Dawn will break, bringing new light.
