A Heart Left Hollow: Grieving the Loss of My Father

Poetry Image

In the silent echoes of an empty room,
Where memories dance in the pale moonlight,
I search for fragments of your voice,
To fill the void left by your flight.

The days stretch long, the nights so cold,
Each moment a reminder of the past,
Your laughter, now a distant sound,
A melody that fades too fast.

I walk the paths we once both tread,
Your footsteps haunting every stride,
Though time may heal and soothe the pain,
Your absence I can never hide.

In dreams, you visit, gentle and kind,
A whisper of comfort in the dark,
Though you are gone, your love remains,
Forever etched upon my heart.
