Solitude’s Silent Sorrow

Poetry Image

In the quiet shadows of the night,
Where whispers of the wind take flight,
A lone heart beats in somber tone,
Echoes of a soul that’s all alone.

The moonlight weaves a silver thread,
Across the sky where dreams have fled,
Stars above, so far away,
Reflect the tears that fall each day.

The silence speaks in muted cries,
As loneliness beneath it lies,
A heavy cloak, a weight unseen,
Draped upon a heart unclean.

In this vast expanse of empty air,
No hand to hold, no one to care,
The solitude, a friend and foe,
In its embrace, I come to know.
