Shadows of Self-Doubt: A Journey Through Inner Battles and Silent Tears

Poetry Image

In the mirror’s cold reflection, I see
A visage marred by shadows deep inside,
The whispers of self-hate, they circle me,
In this quiet chamber where fears reside.

Each flaw becomes a mountain steep to climb,
A critic’s voice that echoes through the night,
I drown in waves of thoughts, the silent chime,
Of worthlessness that robs my inner light.

Yet in this darkness, seeds of strength are sown,
For in the depths, the heart desires to heal,
To break the chains of doubt, to stand alone,
And find the courage to embrace what’s real.

The journey’s long and fraught with hidden pain,
But every step, a testament to grace,
The self-love that emerges through the rain,
A fragile bloom that time cannot erase.
