A Nation’s Silent Cries: Whispers of Corruption’s Grip

Poetry Image

In halls of power, shadows creep,
Promises break, as leaders sleep.
The people weep, their voices lost,
In the game of greed, at their cost.

Behind closed doors, deals are made,
Integrity fades, in corruption’s shade.
With every bribe, the light grows dim,
Trust erodes, on a politician’s whim.

The dreams of many, crushed by few,
Injustice reigns, as lies ensue.
A nation’s heart, heavy with pain,
Hopes for change, but all in vain.

Yet in the darkness, a spark remains,
A cry for justice, breaking chains.
For truth and honor, the people fight,
Against the corruption, for what is right.
