The Silent Echo of Your Return

Poetry Image

In the quiet hours of twilight’s embrace,
I wait for your shadow to grace my door,
Each tick of the clock a solemn chase,
For the love we shared, forevermore.

The moon whispers secrets through the night,
Stars blink in patterns only we could see,
I hold onto memories, gripping tight,
Hoping you’ll return, set my heart free.

The dawn breaks with whispers of your name,
Morning dew clings to the dreams I’ve spun,
Every sunrise feels just the same,
Another day without you, yet it’s begun.

In this endless cycle of night and day,
My soul waits for you, ever so true,
With each breath, a silent prayer I say,
That soon, you’ll return, and end this blue.
