When the World Stood Still: Reflections in Isolation

Poetry Image

In the silence of empty streets, we found
A new rhythm, a slower pace
Moments stretched, and time unwound
Behind closed doors, we faced the race

The distance, once a measure of miles
Became a space of hearts and hands
Together apart, with masked smiles
We learned to love in different lands

Through screens and waves, our voices sailed
Across the voids of fear and doubt
Stories of hope and courage prevailed
As we figured a new world out

And when the world resumed its spin
We carried the lessons from our stay
A testament to where we’ve been
In the quiet, we found our way
