Shadows of Prejudice: The Unseen Chains of Bias

Poetry Image

In the quiet corners of the mind, shadows reside,
Whispers of prejudice that silence the bright tide,
Unspoken judgments shaping the unseen divide,
Bias, a silent thief, where hopes and dreams collide.

Through tempered windows, perceptions are skewed,
Colors and creeds in a distorted view construed,
Hearts closed off, where empathy once ensued,
A world in fragments, unity subdued.

In the mirror of humanity, reflect and discern,
The seeds of bias that unknowingly we learn,
To break the chains, let understanding burn,
Paths of compassion, let us now return.

Together we stand, against the tide of hate,
Building bridges where walls once stood in state,
With open hearts, a new world we create,
Free from prejudice, a future we narrate.
