The Whisper of Absence: Longing for Your Presence

Poetry Image

The nights grow longer without you here,
Stars seem dimmer, shadows near.
Your laughter echoes in the hollow air,
A ghostly whisper, a silent prayer.

Days pass slowly, hours crawl,
Each minute a reminder of your call.
Memories like a gentle breeze,
Stirring the heart, bringing me to my knees.

In dreams, I find your face,
A fleeting glimpse, a tender embrace.
But morning comes and you are gone,
Leaving me to face the dawn alone.

I’ll cherish every moment we had,
Even through the times that make me sad.
For love transcends the bounds of time,
And in my heart, you’ll always be mine.
