Medusa’s Lament: The Stone Queen’s Solitude

Poetry Image

In shadows deep where serpents play,
Her gaze turns hearts to stone,
Medusa’s curse, a cruel display,
Forevermore alone.

Once a maiden, fair and bright,
Punished by divine decree,
Her beauty lost to endless night,
A monster she must be.

The whispers of her hissing hair,
Echo through the darkened cave,
A cry of sorrow, pure despair,
For the life she could not save.

Yet in her eyes, a tragic tale,
Of love and loss unseen,
Medusa’s heart, though tough as shale,
Still dreams of what had been.
