The Silent Chains of Alcohol’s Embrace

Poetry Image

In the dim light of a lonely room,
The bottle whispers secrets, a friend presumed.
Each sip a fleeting comfort, a brief reprieve,
From the shadows that never truly leave.

Nights blend into days, a hazy dance,
Captured by the liquid’s trance.
Promises made in the foggy dawn,
Broken by the time the sun is gone.

Faces blur and memories fade,
In the silent world that alcohol has made.
The heart beats heavy, the mind grows weak,
Chasing solace in every drink.

Yet hope remains, a distant light,
To break the chains and end the fight.
For within the soul, a strength lies bare,
To find a life beyond the snare.
