In the Whisper of Mortality’s Embrace

Poetry Image

In shadows cast by time’s relentless hand,
Where whispers of eternity reside,
The fleeting breath of life we understand,
Yet in such parting, love shall e’er abide.

In silent halls where echoes softly tread,
The sonnet of our days begins to fade,
Yet in each word, though softly it be said,
A legacy of love is gently laid.

Though death’s embrace may take us in its fold,
The heart’s true sonnet never knows decay,
For in each line of love, pure and bold,
Eternity in verse shall find its way.

So let us not in sorrow dwell too long,
For in this dance of life, each step we take,
Leads to a place where love is ever strong,
And death, a gentle sleep from which we wake.
