The Unfaithful Friend Who Once Shared Dreams of Eternity

Poetry Image

In the garden of our shared dreams,
Where laughter once bloomed bright and free,
Now lies a shadowed, silent seam,
A testament to broken glee.

We wandered through the sunlit hours,
Trust woven in each whispered word,
Yet beneath the guise of golden flowers,
A serpent’s hiss was all but heard.

Promises painted in hues of dawn,
Faded beneath the weight of night,
The bond we cherished now is gone,
A distant echo in the fading light.

I stand alone in this vast field,
Where once your presence shone so true,
The truth unveiled, the wound revealed,
A lesson learned, a path anew.
