When Words Like Thorns Pierce Our Hearts

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, I hear your silent cries,Echoes of a love wounded by careless words,Each syllable a dagger, a sharp surprise,Leaving scars unseen, but deeply heard. The warmth that once enveloped us fades,Replaced by shadows of regret and doubt,In the garden of our love, now darkened shades,Where once bloomed roses, now only drought.I watch the tears that trace your soul’s descent,Reflecting the sorrow that I caused you,A mirror of remorse, a heart’s lament,For the trust I broke, the pain I drew.Yet, in this silent storm, I seek redemption’s light,To mend the fabric of love we’ve torn,Hoping to turn the wrong into right,And cradle our hearts, no longer worn.
