The Silent Cry: Whispers of Empty Plates and Hollow Dreams

Poetry Image

In the shadows where hope fades,
Lies the story of silent cries,
Of empty plates and hollow dreams,
Where hunger’s ghost silently sighs.

Children with eyes like fading stars,
Their laughter lost to the wind’s embrace,
Their fragile bodies yearn for warmth,
As malnutrition leaves its trace.

Mothers hold their babies close,
With lullabies of unspoken fears,
Their hearts burdened with endless woes,
In a world that turns deaf ears.

Yet in the darkness, a spark ignites,
A call for change, a plea for light,
To nourish souls and heal the scars,
And turn the night to hopeful bright.
