The Echoes of a Love That Couldn’t Stay

Poetry Image

In the quiet whispers of the night,
Lies a love that once burned bright,
Now just shadows in the fading light,
A tale of hearts lost in flight.

We danced under the silver moon,
Promised forever, far too soon,
Yet time unravelled our fragile tune,
Leaving echoes of a broken boon.

Your smile was the sun in my sky,
Now a memory that makes me sigh,
In dreams where we still fly high,
I find the tears that never dry.

In the garden where roses weep,
Lies the silence where secrets sleep,
A love so deep, a promise to keep,
Yet here I stand, alone to weep.
