Chains of Yesterday: A Tale of Silent Cries and Unbroken Dreams

Poetry Image

In shadows deep where silence lies,
The chains of yore in whispers cry,
A stolen life beneath the skies,
Dreams held captive, wings denied.

The fields once green now stained with tears,
Stories buried through the years,
Echoes of hope through silent fears,
A heart that beats, a soul that sears.

Yet in the night, a star does gleam,
A flicker of an unbroken dream,
To rise above the silent scream,
And find the light within the stream.

For freedom’s song will find its way,
Through darkest night to brightest day,
Where chains shall break and spirits sway,
In fields of hope, where dreams will stay.
