When the Stars Dim: A Reflection on Losing a Friend

Poetry Image

In the silence of the morning light,
A whisper of your laughter fades,
Gone are the echoes of shared dreams,
Lost in the shadows of yesterday’s haze.

The path we walked, now overgrown,
Memories linger like leaves in fall,
Each step, a reminder of your absence,
In the emptiness, I hear your call.

Time moves on, yet still I wait,
For the day when sorrow turns to grace,
In the quiet, I cherish the moments,
When your spirit touched this place.

Though you’ve departed, your light remains,
In every heart you’ve ever known,
A gentle flame, undying and bright,
Guiding us where love has grown.
