The Silent Screams of Nature: A Reflection on the Consequences and Future of Our Polluted World

Poetry Image

In the whispers of the wind, sorrow sings,
A tale of skies once pure and wide,
Now choked with gray, where the lark no longer flies,
A world gasping, under a veil of smog.

Rivers that danced, now crawl,
Their crystal voices silenced, murky and mute,
Where fish once played in waters clear,
Now struggle in the depths of man’s neglect.

Forests, once vibrant with life and song,
Stand silent, cloaked in a haze of ash,
Leaves whisper tales of what was,
To the indifferent ears of a passing breeze.

Yet in the heart of despair, hope flickers,
A call to mend what we have torn,
To cleanse the air, the waters, the earth,
And let life flourish, anew and whole.
