In the stillness of the night,
Where shadows dance with eerie grace,
Fear creeps in with silent might,
And wraps the heart in cold embrace.
A whisper rides the chilling breeze,
Unknown paths lie ahead in gloom,
The mind conjures what it sees,
As dread fills the silent room.
Eyes wide open, searching blind,
For the comfort of the light,
Yet darkness plays tricks on the mind,
Holding dreams just out of sight.
But fear, though strong and deeply set,
Cannot dim the spiritâs glow,
For courage rises to be met,
With every dawnâs gentle show.
