The Silent Chains of Illusion and Despair in the World of Drugs

Poetry Image

In shadows cast by a fleeting high,
Promises whispered in the night,
A dance with dreams that touch the sky,
Yet leave the soul in endless flight.

The siren’s call, a gentle plea,
To numb the pain, to feel alive,
But chains unseen, they bind so free,
In a world where only shadows thrive.

Illusions draped in a false embrace,
The heart beats slow, the vision fades,
A fleeting rush, a hollow space,
As hope beneath the surface wades.

In silent rooms where echoes sigh,
The truth unveils its somber face,
For every high demands a lie,
In this endless, unforgiving race.
