The Silent Echo of Empty Streets

Poetry Image

In the whisper of the night, shadows grow long,
Children’s dreams lie cradled in the dust,
Underneath fading stars, their hopes quietly belong,
To a world where survival is a solemn trust.

The wind carries tales of broken tomorrows,
Echoes of laughter swallowed by despair,
Each heart a vessel of silent sorrows,
Seeking warmth in the cold, empty air.

Beneath the tattered roofs, stories unfold,
Of strength wrapped in resilience’s embrace,
Where love still blooms, though the nights are cold,
In the corners of a forgotten place.

Yet, amid the rubble, courage finds its way,
In eyes that gleam with unwavering light,
A testament to those who rise each day,
Chasing dreams through the endless night.
