Echoes of the Past: The Silent Cries of African Colonies

Poetry Image

In the shadow of the baobab tree,
Whispers of history linger in the air,
Tales of lands carved by foreign hands,
A continent’s heart laid bare.

Chains of iron, chains of mind,
Boundless freedom redefined,
Rich soils tilled by weary hands,
Dreams of liberation left behind.

Yet in the dust, resilience grows,
Stories of strength the land still knows,
Voices rise, unshackled and free,
Echoes of hope across the sea.

From the ashes of a troubled past,
A tapestry of unity is cast,
Africa’s spirit, fierce and bright,
Guiding forward, reclaiming the light.
