In Shadows of the Mind, Where Silence Screams

Poetry Image

In crowded rooms where laughter thrives,
I find myself in shadows deep.
A silent storm within me rises,
As voices drown my thoughts in sleep.

Eyes that glance, but never see,
The turmoil that I hide inside.
I wear a mask, a fragile shield,
Behind which all my fears reside.

Each word a mountain I must climb,
Each gaze a chasm wide and vast.
My heart beats wild, my breath grows thin,
As moments stretch, forever last.

Yet in the quiet, I find peace,
A sanctuary from the fray.
In solitude, I mend my soul,
And dream of braver, brighter days.
