When Love Burns Yet Leaves Us Cold

Poetry Image

In shadows deep where passion lies,
Our hearts entwined in bitter ties.
A love that once was pure and true,
Now tainted by the things we do.

Your words like daggers, sharp and keen,
In silence, echoes of what’s been.
We dance on shards of broken dreams,
In toxic love, where nothing redeems.

The warmth we shared now turned to frost,
In this cruel game, both of us lost.
A battle fought with no respite,
In endless night, we lose the light.

Yet still, we linger, hand in hand,
On shifting ground, unstable land.
For love, though toxic, binds us tight,
A haunting flame in endless night.
