In the midst of laughter and cheer,
I find myself drifting away,
A shadow in the light so clear,
A soul that cannot stay.
Among the smiles and endless talk,
I wander, unseen, alone,
Through paths where others easily walk,
Seeking a heart, a home.
A puzzle piece that doesn’t fit,
An echo in the noisy throng,
Searching for a place to sit,
Where I can feel I truly belong.
But in this search, I find my strength,
In solitude, my spirit’s flight,
Though different in my breadth and length,
I shine brightly in the night.
