Beneath the vast and endless sky,
A heart beats strong, though oceans lie,
Between the dreams and distant lands,
A life of toil, with calloused hands.
The sun that rises in the east,
Greets the soul that seldom ceased,
To yearn for home, a distant shore,
Where love and warmth forever pour.
In foreign lands, with foreign tongues,
The songs of home remain unsung,
Yet in the silence of the night,
The dreams of old take gentle flight.
Though miles apart, the heart remains,
Bound by love, despite the chains,
An OFW’s tale, both brave and true,
A journey forged for dreams anew.
