When Shadows Govern the Streets and Silence Becomes Law

Poetry Image

In the hush where whispers roam,
A city sleeps beneath command,
With echoes of a distant storm,
Where freedom once took its stand.

The night is filled with watchful eyes,
Guardians of a fragile peace,
In every corner, shadows rise,
As voices of the many cease.

Beneath the moon’s reluctant gaze,
Boundaries blur in the twilight,
In silent chorus, hearts now raise,
A prayer for the fading light.

Yet hope endures in quiet hearts,
A spark that time cannot erase,
In dreams, a new dawn slowly starts,
To guide us to a brighter place.
