The Silent Cry of Hunger in Shadows of a Forgotten World

Poetry Image

In the barren lands where hope fades,
Silent whispers of need do roam,
Empty eyes seek the sky’s embrace,
While dreams of bread linger alone.

The earth, cracked with untold despair,
Cries for rain that never falls,
Children’s laughter turned to prayer,
In the shadow of hunger’s calls.

Nights are long, cold with yearning,
Bellies echo with the void,
Yet the spirit keeps on burning,
For a morsel to be enjoyed.

In this world of plenty and loss,
Where abundance meets neglect,
Hunger stands a silent cross,
Awaiting a world to protect.
