Growing Up Too Fast: A Journey Through Time and Innocence

Poetry Image

In the blink of an eye, the days go by,
A child’s laughter fades, replaced by sighs.
The world keeps turning, never stopping to ask,
If we’re ready for the burdens, the grown-up tasks.

From sandbox dreams to office schemes,
The innocence lost in relentless streams.
Responsibilities pile, the years sprint past,
A fleeting youth, growing up too fast.

The mirror reflects a face matured,
With eyes that’ve seen and hearts endured.
Yet deep inside, a child remains,
Whispering wishes amidst life’s strains.

Hold tight to memories, the playful days,
For in their warmth, the spirit stays.
Though time may rush, and life demands,
Cherish the child within your hands.
