In the golden glow of the setting sun,
A chapter closes, yet life has just begun.
With gentle whispers, the winds do sing,
Of freedom’s promise and joy it will bring.
No longer bound by the ticking of the clock,
Each moment is mine, a treasure to unlock.
Through gardens and trails my spirit will roam,
In search of peace, in a world to call home.
The laughter of friends, the warmth of family,
Fill the days with love, rich and free.
Memories woven in the tapestry of time,
Echoing softly, like a cherished rhyme.
As the stars emerge in the evening sky,
Dreams take flight, soaring high.
In this new dawn, I find my place,
A heart unburdened, in retirement’s grace.
