When Mirrors Reflect Shadows of My Soul

Poetry Image

In the quiet corners where whispers dwell,
Lies a heart burdened by its own disdain.
Shadows dance, casting a relentless spell,
As echoes of doubt sing a haunting refrain.

The mirror reflects a visage unknown,
A stranger’s gaze, cold and unkind.
Each flaw magnified, every fault shown,
In this prison of thoughts, I’m confined.

Night falls, and with it comes the storm,
A tempest of self-loathing, fierce and wild.
Yet in the chaos, a fragile form,
Yearns for solace, gentle and mild.

Perhaps one day, the dawn will break,
And the shadows will fade into light.
Until then, I bear this silent ache,
Seeking peace in the endless night.
