The Echoes of African Colonialism: A Tale of Resilience and Resistance

Poetry Image

In the heart of ancient lands, the whispers grow,
Where rivers of history in silence flow.
Under the sun’s relentless, burning gaze,
Stories of resilience emerge from the haze.

Chains of colonial past, heavy and cold,
Wrapped around the vibrant, stories untold.
Yet in the shadows, courage begins to rise,
A dance of freedom beneath open skies.

Voices of ancestors, in winds they sing,
Of liberation, like the dawn of spring.
A tapestry woven in struggles and dreams,
With threads of hope glinting in sunbeams.

Now the winds of change sweep across the plains,
Erasing the scars, though memory remains.
From ashes of oppression, a new dawn breaks,
Africa’s heart beats, and the spirit awakes.
