When the Shadows Fall, and You’re No Longer Here

Poetry Image

In the silence of the evening,
where the whispers of the past reside,
I search for your presence,
in the corners of my mind.

Your laughter once filled the void,
now echoes in the empty halls,
each memory a bittersweet reminder,
of times that softly fall.

The stars seem dimmer now,
as they mourn with me tonight,
their light a pale reflection,
of your once radiant light.

Though you’ve become a shadow,
in the fabric of my soul,
your essence lingers gently,
making broken hearts feel whole.
