Whispers of Solitude: A Lament in the Dark

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, shadows creep,
Whispering secrets that make me weep.
Alone, I wander through endless halls,
Listening to echoes of silent calls.

The moonlight dances on my tear-streaked face,
A silent witness to my lonely embrace.
Stars above, so distant and cold,
Reflect a heart that’s lost its hold.

Each breath I take is a ghost of despair,
A reminder of the love that’s no longer there.
Shadows of memories, haunting my mind,
Leaving me in darkness, so cruel and unkind.

In this solitude, I find no peace,
Only a longing that will never cease.
For in this world so vast and wide,
I am but a soul, alone and denied.
