Torn Between Friendship and Love: The Dilemma of Wanting More

Poetry Image

In the quiet of our shared moments,
Laughter dances, hearts alight,
Yet beneath our friendship’s surface,
Lies a yearning, out of sight.

Your smile, a beacon in my night,
Eyes that speak what words conceal,
A touch that lingers, burns so bright,
A love I long to reveal.

Bound by ties of camaraderie,
Fearful of the lines we blur,
Can friendship hold this secrecy,
Or will it shatter if we stir?

So here I stand, a friend in need,
Wishing for your heart to see,
That love resides in every deed,
Hoping you might feel for me.
