The Chains of Silence and Shadows: A Lament for the Oppressed

Poetry Image

In the heart of darkness, where whispers fade,
Beneath the weight of shadows, dreams degrade.
The silent cries of souls, unseen, unheard,
Lost in the echo of a broken word.

Shackles of silence bind their weary hearts,
Each day a struggle, each night it starts.
The chains of fear, the bonds of despair,
Injustice reigns in the stagnant air.

Yet in the depths, a flicker, a spark,
A hope that lives within the dark.
The strength to rise, to break the chains,
To find the voice despite the pains.

Oppression’s grip may tight and strong,
But courage grows where hearts belong.
Together we’ll shatter the night,
And rise as one into the light.
