The Gentle Art of Forgetting Shadows of Yesterday

Poetry Image

In the quiet corners of my mind,
Where memories used to shine so bright,
A gentle fog begins to unwind,
Painting shadows in the light.

The echoes of your laughter fade,
Like whispers in a distant dream,
And though the heart feels dismayed,
It learns to flow with life’s stream.

Time, the healer of all wounds,
Gently erases the pain,
Like the soft light of the moon,
Washing away the stain.

So I embrace the art of forgetting,
Letting go of shadows past,
For in this graceful setting,
I find peace at last.
