The Silent Cry of the Heart: A Tale of Domestic Violence

Poetry Image

Behind closed doors, where shadows fall,
A hidden world of pain and fear,
Whispers of anguish echo through the hall,
As love turns into a weapon so near.

The gentle touch now bruises deep,
Words once sweet now cut like steel,
In the darkness, silent weeps,
A broken spirit struggles to heal.

Dreams once bright now fade to gray,
Hope is a fragile, distant star,
Each day a battle, each night a fray,
The scars of love, both near and far.

Yet in the silence, strength is born,
A light within begins to glow,
From the ashes, a heart reborn,
A survivor’s spirit starts to grow.
