The Silent Symphony of Unrequited Love

Poetry Image

In shadows deep, my heart does ache,
For love that’s given, yet none I take.
A silent cry, a whispered plea,
In dreams, alone, you’re here with me.

Your smile, a beacon in my night,
Yet you remain a distant light.
I yearn for words you never say,
And watch you, love, from far away.

Each day I wear this mask so tight,
Hiding tears, concealing plight.
My love, a ghost that haunts my soul,
In this one-sided tale, I play my role.

Yet hope remains, a fragile thread,
In dreams where all my fears are shed.
Perhaps one day, your eyes will see,
The endless love I give to thee.
