Shadows of a Depressing Life

Poetry Image

In the silent whispers of the night,
My soul wanders in endless plight.
Dreams shattered, hopes gone astray,
Darkness consumes the light of day.

The weight of sorrow, a crushing tide,
No place to run, nowhere to hide.
Tears like rain, fall from my eyes,
Beneath the moonlit, gloomy skies.

Life’s burdens heavy, too much to bear,
In a world where none seem to care.
The echoes of laughter, so far away,
Lost in the shadows, I fade to gray.

Yet in the darkest, deepest night,
A flicker of hope, a distant light.
Perhaps tomorrow will bring a chance,
To break free from this suffocating trance.
