When Love Turns Toxic: A Tale of Binding Chains

Poetry Image

In the beginning, your touch was a gentle breeze,
Whispering promises of eternity in the air.
But soon, the winds grew fierce and cold,
And love became a storm too wild to bear.

Your words, once soft as morning dew,
Turned sharp, cutting deep like broken glass.
Each promise shattered, each dream undone,
Love’s tender bloom replaced by scars that last.

The chains you forged with sweet deceit,
Bound my heart in a prison of despair.
Toxic love, a venomous embrace,
Leaving wounds beyond repair.

Now I seek the courage to break free,
From the shadows where your love resides.
To find a dawn where I can breathe,
And heal the pain your lies have tied.
