Reflections on Mistakes and Regrets

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, I ponder,
The paths I chose, the blunders made,
Regrets, like shadows, growing fonder,
Of memories that slowly fade.

Each mistake, a lesson learned,
Yet in my heart, a silent ache,
For every bridge that I have burned,
And every promise I did break.

Time moves on, relentless, swift,
With whispers of what might have been,
I carry on, with heart adrift,
Haunted by the ghosts within.

Yet in this journey, I must find,
A way to heal, to reconcile,
To leave the past and peace of mind,
And face the future with a smile.
