Growing Up Too Fast: The Lost Moments of Childhood

Poetry Image

In the blink of an eye, the years have flown,
Moments of laughter, now seeds have grown,
Childhood dreams, like autumn leaves cast,
Oh, how you have grown up too fast.

Tiny hands that once reached for the sky,
Now hold responsibilities, asking why,
The innocence of youth, a fleeting past,
Oh, how you have grown up too fast.

The days of wonder, of endless play,
Traded for worries that cloud the day,
Simplicity and joy, memories to last,
Oh, how you have grown up too fast.

Cherish the echoes of a time so sweet,
When life was simple and time discreet,
Though the years have passed, hold steadfast,
Oh, how you have grown up too fast.
