In fields of green where laughter roamed,
We chased the sun and built our dreams,
With hearts so light and spirits free,
The world was ours, or so it seemed.
The days were long, the nights were sweet,
Beneath the stars, weâd lay and scheme,
Of futures bright and paths unknown,
A tapestry of hopes and gleam.
But time, it moves with silent grace,
And takes us from that sacred place,
To roads untraveled, skies uncharted,
Where innocence and youth depart.
Yet in our hearts, those days remain,
A beacon through lifeâs joy and pain,
For though we grow and years may pass,
The whispers of our youth will last.
